The Little Blue Montessori School, a neighborhood school in Southeast Austin, is now accepting applications for an experienced Montessori Primary Lead Guide for the 2026-2027 school year. We are looking for applicants who are creative, collaborative, great communicators, as well as eager to share Montessori with families new to this pedagogy and way of life! Responsibilities

•  Create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow
• Implement age-appropriate Montessori curriculum
• Provide individualized attention and support to each child
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom community
• Observe and assess children's development and progress
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development and any concerns
• Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment
• Collaborate with other Guides and staff members 

Qualifications 

•  High School Diploma
• AMI or AMS Diploma (please reach out if you have other Montessori credentials)
• Experience working with children in a childcare, daycare, or educational setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children
• Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the children and the classroom environment
• Intends to grow with our community! 

Requirements

• Occasionally lift classroom supplies/equipment weighing up to 20 lbs. 
• Lift small children weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods of time daily.
• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks such as at a computer keyboard.
• Works in standard classroom conditions and climates.
• Works outdoors supervising children at carpool and on the playground.
